Firstly a huge thank you must go to the local companies who supported us, especially Iconic Hair & Beauty Therapy Centre who kindly sponsored our main championship.
Also to our other sponsors, The Roseland Garden Centre, Maen Karne, The Nare Hotel, Veryan Riding Centre, Humphries Farm Shop, Jago Cottage B&B, Colin Ferkin Fencing & Farm Buildings and Dennis Mays.
A special thank you has to go to MA Grigg for their donation of all the ringside rope. Pentewan Nurseries for the beautiful potted plants that we were able to give to our judges, stewards and helpers. Babs Roundswell for the loan of her full set of show jumps and The Kernow sausage Company for the kind donation of a pork joint for our raffle.
Thank you also to Jeanette Trezise for providing hospitality lunches and refreshments for all of our helpers. Delicious pasties, rolls, scones and lemon drizzle cake, all homemade.
Finally to all of our helpers who came to support us in various ways, a very big thanks to you all. Without your support the show would not have been possible.
We were blessed with fine weather and the day gave so many young children a lot of pleasure with happy faces and lots of brightly coloured ribbons taken home.
Our judges Heather Banbury & Lisa Harper were unanimous in their decision with the winner of The Best Combination 12 years & under Harriet Bunney & Black Pudding taking the overall Ridden Championship. The reserve Champion was the winner of The tack & Turnout Class, Leah Ferguson riding Mouse.
With a mixture of ridden showing classes and fun in hand novelty classes we had a really mixed array of ponies and children. Along with a clear round show jumping ring running all day and Gymkhana races in the afternoon there was plenty to do.
Congratulations to all of our competitors and thank you all for your support.
Our show was a great success and we are pleased to be able to donate £200 to Children’s Hospice Southwest & £100 to Gorran Haven Primary School.
