LYNNE HERAUD & PAT TURNER
Thursday 14th March at 7.30pm
Pat and Lynne are seasoned performers both as solo artistes and in groups. Together they produce a powerful and unique sound. Charismatic, humorous and quirky. They are not averse to a spot of outrage, social comment and ingenious, heart-warming smut. All presented with the same level of energy and precise vocal harmony with occasional concertina & guitar accompaniment.
From time to time they dress up as well, to devastating effect.

2 acre hillside garden surrounding the C17/C18th house. The garden has been entirely redesigned and substantially re-landscaped and planted - most of it over the last 15 years. The garden is still very young but the structure is emerging more strongly year on year. In the main part of the garden, a series of oval forms enclose lawns and a large pond and are defined and linked by gravel paths and yew hedges. Large mixed borders of shrubs, perennials and bulbs provide a long season of colour. There are also specialist areas of planting - gravel beds for succulents, a dry Mediterranean shrub bank, a lush 'hot garden', a damp pond border, a rose and paeony border and a woodland bank. A small walled kitchen garden is used for fruit, vegetables, chickens and has greenhouses for succulents and propagation. The planting is complex with over 1000 species and varieties.

The Tregony Petanque Club new playing area launch is on July 20th. Jane Hartley, the Deputy Lord Lieutenant, a town crier and some of the Petanque England internationals will be there at 2.30 to open proceedings. Following the opening ceremony there will be a chance to play, watch some exhibition matches and join in the fun. Local band Hoodle are playing in the evening when there will also be a BBQ - a few tickets still left available at the Sports and Social Club. The new playing area was built by the members with funds raised by themselves. Local businesses alongside the local parish and Cornwall community chest gave funds. The members then designed and grew plants for a surrounding garden which has become a pleasure to enjoy whether you are playing Petanque or walking your dog around the playing fields. Everyone is welcome to come and enjoy the afternoon and see one of Britains fastest growing sports in action.
