Are you brave enough to enter Veronica’s Room?
This chilling mystery thriller by the author of Horror classic Rosemary’s Baby and Deathtrap, takes you into an absorbing spider’s web of fantasy, reality and danger. Susan Kerner, a young beautiful Boston college student is on a date with the charming Larry Eastwood in 1973. The young lovers find themselves at The Brabissant mansion, invited by the Mackeys, an elderly Irish couple who are struck by Susan’s strong resemblance to Veronica Brabissant long since dead. Together they enter Veronica’s room, untouched since 1935 and nothing will ever be the same again for them. The mystery of Veronica’s Room deepens as twist after twist unravels the threads of reality. Is it 1973 or is it in fact 1935? A fascinating piece of suspense filled drama full to the brim with twists, turns and intrigue. Warning: Contains adult themes that may shock. Phone 01726 883874 for tickets

A Fungus Foray in woods alongside the River Fal near Ruan Lanihorne. This will be a joint event with the Cornwall Fungi Group and will be led by Pauline Penna of the CFG, so we will have experts on hand to help with identification. Note that we will be searching, observing and taking photos, not collecting for the cooking pot! This should be a nice ramble through the autumn woods, whether or not you are interested in Fungi, and will take about 2 hours. The woodland track is a reasonable path for walking, but some rummaging in undergrowth is likely; dogs allowed provided owners are well behaved and do not wander onto adjacent fields where there are livestock.
