Beloved Boat, Trailer & Engines Stolen from Portloe

Atlantic fish

  1. Last night (Thursday 9th May) a boat was stolen from Portloe. The boat was stored as usual on its trailer as in this picture.

There are a spate of marine thefts in the area and our regular police reports are asking everyone to help watch out for such occurrences.
The boat was last seen around 9pm last night, so it seems to have been stolen overnight.
We are asking anyone who may have seen this boat either being transported or stored anywhere, or if anyone has any information they might wish to share, please contact the owners or the local police.
The boat (pictured here) is an 480 Atlantic fisher in plain white with an open wheelhouse and has its name “3 Maidens” on both sides of the bow and also on the back. It has a 40hp mariner engine on the back and a Mercury 4hp engine on the port side.

Suffice to say the owners are devastated as it’s a family boat that has much sentimental value. REMEMBER: There are marine thieves working in this area, so please stay on full alert for everyone’s sake!

If you think you can help, please contact: Kevin 01726 65300 or 07779103928, or Leanne 01872 580160 or 07807083028. Alternatively contact the police by clicking here. Thank you.

  1. I’m delighted to report that, thanks in part to Roseland Online readers, this boat has been found and returned to its owners.
