‘Ferry’ Bike Ride for Charity by King Harry Boss

10.08.11: Managing Director of King Harry, Tim Light, will be undertaking a ‘ferry’ cycle ride for charity with his brother in September. The pair will be cycling from John O’Groats to Lands End trying to use as many ferries as they can and will do this over 16 days in September 2011.

Tim told Roseland Online, “My brother and I are serious non cyclists but we have decided to raise money for charity. My brother is raising money for the Fire Brigade Benevolent Fund and I am raising money for the Kamunzinda School and village clinic in Uganda, a specific part of the Pearl of Africa Foundation. Some of our staff and directors help run the clinic and we have set ourselves the target of raising £8,500 a year to help pay for the staff, drugs and to run an outreach project to help promote health education.”

Tim’s brother has arranged free accommodation for the whole trip, so all the money raised will go directly to these projects via one of our families taking the money directly to the clinic or through the benevolent fund.

Tim went on to say “I hope you can help me raise £2,000 for the school, or help my brother for the benevolent fund. If you can spare even a small amount, please help me by donating through: http://www.justgiving.com/Tim-Ligh

We wish Tim and his brother all the best for the trip and we’ll keep you in touch with proceedings as the cycle progresses.
