On Friday 27th September (2pm – 8pm) and Sunday 29th September (10am – 4pm) Veryan Indoor bowls Club is opening the new season with Play Bowls Open Days.
These are part of a National scheme to encourage participation and are free sessions open to new bowlers. No special clothing is required, just flat shoes – bowls, coaching and a warm welcome will be provided. Existing members will be on hand to answer FAQ’s. (and provide tea and coffee) New bowlers will be invited to take part in subsequent free sessions and all new members will be entitled to half price membership for the first year.
We are a small friendly club that caters for bowlers of all ages and abilities; from children and beginners through to county standard. Our busy Fixtures List for the forthcoming season includes club leagues, friendly matches and National and County competitions. Weekly sessions for new members have club coaches on hand to give guidance if required and agreement has been reached with Veryan Primary School to provide them with a weekly session involving County Coaches.
One of our activities is to support a nominated charity and at the end of last season we were delighted to hand over a cheque for £610 to the Motor Neurone Disease Association. this season’s Club Charity is The Cystic Fibrosis Trust.
Members of the men’s Teams will be interested to note that we have registered the club colours and logo, so club shirts will be available for the new season. Just like you see on TV!
