Kings Head, Ruan, Open to ‘Old’ Management

kinhsheadThe Kings Head in Ruan Lanihorne has been reopened under its old Management, Andrew & Niki Laws.

The popular local pub had accepted an offer in May of this year but negotiations had come to a standstill and on Saturday 23rd November the Laws pulled out after realising the value of where they live, their business and friendships here.

Niki told Roseland Online, “In all honesty, and I know it will be difficult for people to believe, but we really ARE delighted to be staying. [This sale] has gone on for too long, and once we made the decision to stay, it made us re-evaluate where we live, our business, friends and so on, and both of us have been walking around with silly smiles on our faces since Sunday morning!”

Andrew and Niki have decided to hold an Open to ‘Old’ Management evening (as local, John Berry, put it) this coming Friday with a celebration party to welcome customers old and new to the pub. The first ‘drink’ is on them and there will be snacks on the bar and served during the evening.

Niki added, “We  are working flat out to let people know that we are still here and it is business as usual and trying to get a programme of events together for the winter month. We also have a Ladies Lunch scheduled with ‘Grace & Favour’ of St Mawes and Truro on Sat 7th December and a Christmas Wine Tasting on the 12th December.”

All events will of course be on Roseland Online‘s calendar but The Kings Head does have a Facebook page and website: www.kingsheadruan.co.uk
