More Gerrans Hill Development Delays Due to Natural Causes

Having received a call yesterday from a concerned resident allocated one of the new affordable homes in Gerrans Hill, Roseland Online spoke today to the Central 1 housing team to find out the latest.

Unfortunately, due to weather conditions and illness, the meeting between Mansell and DCHA has now had to be postponed until January. Nothing on site can commence before this meeting takes place as it is there that they will discuss the time schedule for the development’s completion. It is hoped that directly after this meeting, work can commence and will be completed within four weeks of that date, but the worst case scenario could see a mid March handover. It is hoped, however, that this will be a worst case scenario and that a handover will be able to happen before this date.

As soon as the meeting in January has taken place, residents who have been allocated a property will be contacted with a firmer handover date, but it was clear that blame cannot be attributed to any one party, but, like so much at this time of year, natural causes.
