New Owners Open For Business at Treverbyn House, Veryan

Tim & Heather Blasdale moved into Treverbyn House, Veryan in early February to a warm welcome from the villagers. Mike & Ali Rawling, who ran the Bed & Breakfast and Treverbyn Lodge – a three bedroom self-catering bungalow – in the heart of Veryan, retired at the end of last season and Tim and Heather, both from the youth care sector in Weston-Super-Mare, took over.

Tim & Heather told Roseland Online, “We were delighted by the welcome and [locals] have been so helpful, providing much needed assistance and guidance. We hope to maintain the same standards [Mike and Ali] achieved.

Heather worked with children and adults with special needs, most recently in a special school for children with additional needs and Tim was the Principal Youth Officer responsible for Youth Services in a south west Local Authority.

Although they moved from Weston-Super-Mare Tim and Heather are no strangers to the Roseland. Tim first holidayed here in 1972 with his parents back when the Hancock’s owned Trethem Mill Camp Site. They have visited nearly every year since their youngest daughter, now 22 years, was a mere toddler. We have three children who have grown up with holidays on the Roseland, so we know most of the walks, beaches, pubs, tea stops and cake shops!

They added, “We have been looking for an opportunity to move to the Roseland for years and finally circumstances were right last August whilst on holiday down here [so] we made an offer on Treverbyn House in early September.

Treverbyn House has three letting rooms and a further three bedrooms in the self-catering bungalow. They are now fully open for business and still have plenty of space available for the year.

They have also revamped the website for online bookings, have a Facebook page and a twitter account. To contact them go to www.treverbyn.co.uk or call 01872 501201.
