New Roseland Radio – Initial Meeting a Success

09.03.11: The first meeting of interested parties for a Roseland and surrounding districts radio station took place last night at Roseland School. The Brainchild of Pete Appleyard – who helps with Roseland School’s Radio Station – and local Methodist minister, Gareth Hill, they presented their ambitious plans to an audience of enthusiastic Roselanders, including local councillor, Julian German.

The proposed coverage of the station is to include the Roseland, plus the parishes of Cuby, Grampound with Creed, Ladock, Mevagissey, Probus, St. Ewe, St. Goran, St. Michael Caerhays and St. Michael Penkevil. But before the idea can be formalised, a steering group needs to be set up including people whose skills include; Financing & Accounting, Business Management, Law, Fundraising & grant applications, Marketing and Community development.

If you would like to help with these plans and think your skills include one or more of the above, the group would be happy to hear from you. You can express your interest by clicking here.
