Patient’s Participation Group Survey Results Published

18.04.12: As a result of forming a Patient Participation group (PPG) on the Roseland, the resulting volunteers helped design a survey to engage patients in the area. The results showed patients were not aware of the services available and a real need for better communication.

In one area, many people indicated they were housebound or had difficulty accessing services, so links with a patient transport project is trying to provide volunteer drivers to help people access services and appointments.

In another about health issues many people indicated they would be interested in a support group with volunteers ‘buddying’ someone else with the same condition. For this reason the surgery intends to start a Diabetes support group to begin with.

The surgery is indebted to the PPG for its participation in this survey and everyone can download the results of that by clicking here. More about the PPG, and their contact details, can be found on their Roseland Online Groups and Societies Page.
