Puppy Killed in Equestrian Robbery on Roseland

A puppy has been killed in during an attempted theft of equestrian equipment on the Roseland. Police suspect the 12-week old puppy was killed by the perpetrators to stop it  alerting the owners of their presence during a robbery overnight on July 6th.

Police are keen to speak to any witnesses and  urge residents who own equestrian equipment in South Central Cornwall to be vigilant.

A police spokesperson said, “It is thought that the persons responsible were possibly looking to steal equestrian equipment and killed the dog to keep it quiet and avoid being disturbed. The police are extremely keen to hear from anyone with any information that will lead them towards the offenders. Additionally anyone with horses and equestrian equipment are urged to consider their own security arrangements and to be vigilant, reporting any suspicious activity to the police.”
