Roseland Plan Update – October 2013

THE ROSELAND PLAN – OUR ROSELAND – OUR FUTURE

Our applications for funding and for direct support (consultancy advice) to help us deliver our Neighbourhood Development Plan were successful. We will be working closely with our consultant (from Planning Aid England). Her advice will complement the excellent support we are receiving from County Hall (Emma Ball, Rob Lacey etc) and Julian German, our Cornwall Councillor.

We have received several hundred replies to our leaflet ‘Please help us keep you informed’, and many more from our stand at the Summer events we attended across the Roseland. It is obvious that we need to use all our communicational tools (this Magazine, Roseland Online, letters, our website, Facebook and public meetings) to keep you informed about how we are progressing.

Our October meeting will be held at 7 pm on Wednesday 16th October at Ruan Reading Room. Members of the public are welcome to attend. Further public meetings will be scheduled soon, so please look out for notices advertising these. By the time you are reading this, we should be well advanced in preparing a detailed questionnaire. The aim is to give you the maximum opportunity to explain what you want for the future of the Roseland.

We have a new member of the Steering Group – Julie Johns from Veryan. We send our best wishes for a speedy recovery to David Hubbard, one of our Steering Group members from St Just.

If you would like more information, please look at our website (www.roselandplan.org) or contact John Adams, the Secretary, by email (info@roselandplan.org) or phone (01872 501749).
