Roseland Superfast Broadbander Becomes Coastpath Fundraiser

cornwall-roseland-peninsula-martinandjamesMartin Edwards (who has been helping Roseland Online with the rollout of superfast broadband on the Roseland) will be walking the Cornwall Coast path for charity with his son-in-law, James.

A total of 169 miles, the walk will take them from Padstow to Falmouth starting on Saturday 22nd and ending on the following Saturday 29th of June.

Martin told Roseland Online, “Initially we were going to walk just for fun, however James suggested that people might like to sponsor us. One of our charities is in India, the EHSO, which has brought many thousands of families and children out of poverty in Chennai. The other, the AMMF, is the only charity in the UK seeking to raise awareness of a rare bile cancer, Cholangiocarcinoma.”

The pair also plan to walk the entire Cornwall Coast Path in the late spring of 2015, when they will be raising money for a Cornish Charity that is looking to alleviate poverty in Cornwall (where 1 in 5 children are born into and live in poverty) and the Trussel Trust who run food banks around the UK.

For now, though, if you would like to support Martin and James’ adventure, you can donate either to AMMF through their Just giving site by clicking here: www.justgiving.com/ammf/Donate
