Wow, what a busy time we’ve had. The radio station launched during the Hub Festival on 26th July 2014. We would like to thank everyone who attended (or helped with) our lovely, relaxed, family festival. It truly was a fantastic event and we are certain that all who attended would agree with us when we say the music was superb, the food was fantastic, the weather beautiful and the atmosphere perfect.
The radio station is now a hive of activity with both presenters and people working hard behind the scenes. We have a great group of volunteers but would definitely welcome more. There are many opportunities to volunteer, apart from presenting a show, so please don’t be put off by the idea of appearing on air!
If you would like to volunteer, or simply to meet The Hub team, please get in touch. We would love to hear from you.
Likewise, if you’re a business and are interested in advertising or sponsorship on The Hub, please take a look at our website or give us a call on 01872 24 84 94. We’re a volunteer run project and rely on advertising, donations and grants to keep the station running. We broadcast across Mid Cornwall to a potential audience of over 150,000, our rates are extremely good, and all money stays locally in our community.
Please accept our huge thanks to everyone who has helped The Hub get to the point we are at today. We have had huge mountains to climb (particularly financially) so are truly grateful to everyone for their help. We still need to raise funds in order to keep your station running, so if anyone is able to help us in finding funding please contact us.
Hopefully you are all already fans, but if you are yet to discover The Hub, please listen in on 106.1 and 106.4 fm, online at www.thehubradio.co.uk or on your mobile through TuneIn, and enjoy the range of shows. There really is something for everyone from jazz to folk, to pop, to rock. We welcome your feedback and love hearing from you.
If you would like to volunteer, advertise or let us know what you think, please contact us on 01872 24 84 94 or through the website at www.thehubradio.co.uk
We look forward to chatting with you soon.
