1saac Tour – Days 7-8

Well on their way, the boys seem to have friends everywhere!  It is one big social round!

Day 7: From Oldbury to Worcester.  It was a wet start Friday as we left Oldbury, but cleared up as morning went on. Good fast day, quite flat, met my Auntie in Glos.  Docks for coffee, then on to John and Sally Shaw’s for lunch. Great to see them and John rode with us to Tewkesbury. On to Worcester and evening meal with Jeremy and Pauline and brother in law Keith and Rita’s sister Julie who surprised us by being there. Keith is cycling the next leg with us. Jeremy declined the offer!

Stats:   73.6 miles   6hrs 28.    11.4mph.  2205 elevation

Day 8: Worcester to Bridgnorth.  Off to Bridgnorth then with Keith in tow, first stop Droitwich to see some dear friends Mel and Julie for coffee, then on via Stourport to Bewdley down by the Severn for lunch. Then the heavens opened and rained all the way into Bridgnorth!   Heres hoping for better weather tomorrow up to Nantwich.

Stats: 48.0 miles   5 hrs 01.      9.6mph         3025 elevation
