The tourist industry has now become the main trade of the Roseland Peninsula and SCC today but unlike many areas it’s kept its charm and unique qualities intact.

Veryan, in the middle of the Roseland Peninsula, still has its iconic Round Houses, St Just its legendary church and St Mawes and Portscatho their stunning harbours.

The Roseland Peninsula and SCC boast some world class hotels and restaurants, including one of Olga Polizzi’s renowned hotels Hotel Tresanton) and a Michelin starred restaurant in Rosevine.

The Roseland Peninsula is also steeped in history. Much of it can be seen whilst enjoying a multitude of walks, superb pubs and breathtaking sea views.

The Roseland Peninsula has some of the best ferry links in the area, too. The iconic King Harry Ferry which links the Roseland Peninsula with Truro and the idyllic St Mawes Ferry which connects the Roseland Peninsula with Falmouth.

Sailing and water sports are second to none on the Roseland Peninsula, too, with many harbours for boats and the outlying Carrick Roads perfect for mooring your boat all year round.

Roseland Online – Roseland Peninsula Guide and Community Website

The Roseland Peninsula’s and South Central Cornwall’s (SCC) dedicated community website with News, Features, Services, Classifieds, Reviews, Parish Council News, Weddings and Clubs and Societies in and around the 15 parishes of the Roseland Peninsula and South Central Cornwall.

These parishes include Cuby, Gerrans, Grampound with Creed, Ladock, Mevagissey, Philleigh, Probus Ruan Lannihorne, St Ewe, St Gorran, St Just in Roseland, St Michael Caerhays, St Michael Penkevil, Tregony and Veryan.

Roseland Online has been serving the Roseland Peninsula since 2009 and, due to its success, took in the servicing of the 15 parishes of South Central Cornwall in 2011.

As a not for profit community enterprise, Roseland Online’s remit if to promote businesses and community events on the Roseland Peninsula and in SCC and as such, is now reaching in excess of up to 9000 unique visitors a day.

Roseland Online has succeeded in acting as a go between for the Roseland Peninsula residents in bringing Superfast Broadband to the area. In doing so, it has increased the Roseland Peninsula’s Superfast footprint from the promised 80{c8c3b3d140ed11cb7662417ff7b2dc686ffa9c2daf0848ac14f76e68f36d0c20} roll-out up to a staggering 95{c8c3b3d140ed11cb7662417ff7b2dc686ffa9c2daf0848ac14f76e68f36d0c20}… and we intend to help increase that to 98{c8c3b3d140ed11cb7662417ff7b2dc686ffa9c2daf0848ac14f76e68f36d0c20} in the coming years.

We use our profits to help community events on the Roseland Peninsula and SCC and continue to be the main online resource for the area with classifieds, Holiday homes, Hotels & B&Bs, Services, Announcements and news for the Roseland Peninsula and the fifteen parishes of South Central Cornwall.
