Book Review – Mog’s Christmas by Judith Kerr

Mog’s Christmas by Judith Kerr – Published by Harper Collins Children’s Books; reissued to celebrate Mog’s 40th anniversary in 2010

If you haven’t read any of Judith Kerr’s books for children, you’re in for a real treat. Unlike Mog. Nothing in her house is normal – talking trees, strange smells, lots of unfamiliar people. There’s only one thing for it….she climbs on to the roof, has a nap and then…oops!

A delightful and gentle story, beautifully illustrated, and with touches of humour that will appeal to both children and adults.

verdict: A real classic. Just looking at the cover makes me smile. A book for life and not just for Christmas. *****
