30/09/2019(2 events) REACT Meeting, 18:00 What is REACT? It’s a new Roseland initiative in response to Cornwall Council’s declaration of a climate emergency. Following the Council’s statement, St Just and Gerrans Parish Councils have also followed suit. REACT stands for Roseland Environment Action Community Team. Fleabag (Encore), 19:30 Fleabag is a rip-roaring account of some sort of woman living her sort of life. It is a monologue which follows the central character Fleabag over 3 days as her life unravels. Her best friend, Boo, has been tragically killed in a road accident leaving behind their guinea pig themed café, which is in dire economic straits. She might be willing to prostitute herself to save the café if society didn’t deem this highly immoral. |

We are popular with all age groups - from regulars to young mums, walkers, holidaymakers and some local men from the village. Menu includes home-made cakes, biscuits and savouries with GF and vegan options. Cornish coffee, selection of teas fruit & decaf, hot chocolate, fruit juice also fresh fruit all served! A donation of at least £2 per person per head to cover costs will be requested. Books and magazines sold for a small fee....or there is the option to book swap. RSPG Café Roseland, 14:00 – 16:00 – A chance to meet up with friends, have a cuppa and a piece of cake and a chat or do something interesting. These include Gill’s home-made bread, Carol’s pasties, local vegetables, organic meat, eggs, local honey and beeswax candles, a selection of delicious cakes, quiches, pies, samosas, falafels, katchouris, etc, granola, home-made preserves, garden shrubs and plants, pet baskets and treats, beautiful posies of cut flowers, unusual seeds, children’s books, hand-crafted items including beeswax wraps, cards, calendars, gifts, artwork, etc. Come and see what we have to offer and at the same time indulge in a cup of tea or cafetière coffee with a slice of scrumptious cake for only £1.50, in friendly, relaxed surroundings. Meet up with your friends or neighbours and see if there's something different that takes your fancy. Harvest Supper, 19:00 – 21:30 – HARVEST FESTIVAL. The Winding World is based on the true tale of a baby found in the snow in a Cornish cove – a love story set in a community with all its secrets, oddities and humanity. The piece interweaves original songs, stories and soundtrack written by the company. Doors open 7pm. Cabaret style table layout....there will be a bar with locally made real ale and wine.
