Charity Bingo Evening in Memory of Popular Portscatho Resident

22.01.11: A charity Bingo evening in memory of popular Portscatho resident, Rose Grose, will be held this Thursday 27th Jan at The Harbour Club, Portscatho.

Rose passed away in December and was a lifelong member of the Bingo club at Portscatho. She will be missed by everyone and this event is a way for the club to remember Rose whist raising some money for local charities.

The event will start at 7.30 on Thursday evening and for more information, you can contact Kate or Mary Bax at the club on 01872 580387.

Update: 27.01.11: The evening was a complete success. Over 50 people of differing ages turned up to play charity bingo and partake in the raffle. The enjoyment was suprising good for some, so much so that talk of doing it on a monthly or bi monthly basis gained support from many there. In total the charity evening in memory of Rose Grose – herself a keen bingo supporter at the club for many years – managed to raise over £350 for the two charities; the Air Ambulance and R.N.L.I. Watch out for those special bingo evenings in the Roseland Online calendar in the coming months!
