Charity Skydive for St Luke’s and for Sophie

05.05.11:Roseland resident, Nicola Coyle, willl be taking part in a Tandem Skydive on the 20th August. The event is to raise money for St Luke’s Hospice in Plymouth which provides high quality specialist Palliative Care for patients facing a life limiting illness and also to raise money for her daughter best friend, Sophie Williams, a pupil at Veryan Church of England School, who was diagnosed with Leukaemia in March. Sophie is currently undergoing chemotherapy at Bristol Children’s hospital.

Nicola told Roseland Online, “The whole of Veryan village is pulling together, organising fundraising events to support Sophie and her family. As well as the obvious emotional impact, Sophie’s illness puts the family under immense financial pressure.”

If you are able to support these causes, or just like the thought of Nicola jumping out of a plane at 15000 feet!, please visit her webpage www.justgiving.co.uk, where you’ll find photos of Jessica’s reaction to her news of the stunt!
