Cornwall Council Free Dog Microchipping Surgeries

dog-microchipping

Cornwall Council are running a free dog micro chipping week. Working with the Dogs Trust, they are trying to chip as many dogs for free as possible and are trying to make sure as many people as possible know about the week to maximise the number of dogs chipped.

Taking your dog to a vet will normally cost up to £20, and from 2016 it will be a legal requirement to have all dogs micro chipped. This opportunity is open to everyone, and they ran trialled this scheme some time ago where 160 dogs were micro chipped in two days in Bodmin and Hayle/Redruth.
Please feel free to share this information with as many people as possible in your neighbourhood and the council want to chip as many dogs as possible and get as many people as possible to take advantage of this.
It’s unusual to get something for free in this day and age – so if you can think of anywhere to share/post it it would help spread the word.
