Cornwall Tourism Awards – A Roseland Winner!

The Thirstea Co at Towan have been awarded a Bronze Award for Cafe & Tea Room of the Year 2017 at the Cornwall Tourism Awards!

Speaking to Roseland Online, owners Seth Richards and Jodi Meenaghan said “We had a lovely evening at this, our first Cornwall Tourism Awards.  With over 180 entrants from across the county we were in a room full of Tourism Excellence.

“After a lovely locally sourced meal, we were treated to an inspirational speech from Cornish sporting hero Helen Glover MBE.  Following this the brilliant Daphne Skinnard proceeded to present the awards!

“We felt we were in a bit of a strange position, as we were competing with ‘proper’ fully fledged, bricks and mortar tea rooms and cafés, so to beat so many to the finals felt like quite a big achievement for us and our little van Earl!

“It appears we were the only Roseland based business to win this year so we’ve been waving the flag for our beautiful part of Cornwall, convincing lots of visitors to come and try what delights the Roseland has to offer!”

Many congratulations from Roseland Online – you have done the Roseland proud!
