Firework dedication for the Mevagissey Feast Week Firework display

mevagisseyfeastweekfireworks1The Mevagissey Feast Week Committee have come up with a fantastic idea to help raise funds and to give members the community and visitors an opportunity to celebrate a special event in their life or to remember a loved one… a sponsored firework.

The idea is simple, sponsor as firework for the celebration and the dedication will appear both in the pull-out keepsake page in the Feast Week programme, and also will be on display around the harbour on full colour posters.

Sally Hodgson, secretary for the Mevagissey Feast Week Committee, told Roseland Online, “Its really exciting when we have a new idea for Feast Week. Firework Dedications are a lovely way for a community to share with one another those special events in their lives.”

Those who would like to dedicate a firework to a friend or loved on will need to collect a form from the organisers which will need to be completed and returned along with their payment of £30 by May 18th 2013. Forms are available from The Holistic Mermaid in St Georges Square, Mevagissey, alternatively you can email the secretary at secretary@mevagisseyfeastweek.org.uk and one can be sent via email. Payment can be made either by cash or cheque, made payable the Mevagissey Feast Week Committee.

Chairman of the committee, Marcus Hunkin, added,  “[It’s} fitting way to remember a lost love one. We are hoping that the idea will be well received by all our loyal supporters.”

Spaces are limited so theysuggest you get in early if you would like to participate in this lovely tribute.
