Open Letter from Graham Thomas of Plume of Feathers

Graham Thomas has asked Roseland Online to circulate the following letter for him.

To all my friends, past customers and loyal staff, I would like to express my sincere thanks for your support over recent difficult times.

It has been of huge comfort .

Whilst this is the end of an era, it is the beginning of another and I ask one and all to support both Colin and Paul in the same way you have me and the Plume over the many years.

Here’s to a new chapter and I look forward to seeing you all soon.

  • Graham,

Good luck and best wishes for the future and thank you for being such a great and hospitable landlord over all these years.

I look forward to continuing drinking with you for many years to come.

  • Graham,

Good luck and best wishes for the future and thanks for being such a great and hospitable landlord all these years. I look forward to continuing drinking with you for many more years to come.

  • All the best Graham….I’ve had nothing but fun times & fond memories of The Plume….you were always great guy as were all the guys that I knew who worked there & of all the villages on The Roseland…Scathy had the best local pub of them all…good food…good beer….good atmosphere…great times…Good luck Graham for the future & all the best to the new landlords in making it as good as it’s always been : )

  • Thanks Graham for allowing me to play in the darts team when i was 14-15, loved the nights out to play other teams, the ladies looked after me and we were very good . But i wouldn’t have been as good if you hadn’t let me play in the Plume in the first place. Sadly i haven’t been able to come to the Plume as much as i had liked in the past few years.(living in Falmouth and looking out for Dad). I hope whatever you do you in the future you will enjoy it.

Your family have been a great landlords serving the village for 40 years so it will be very strange with new landlords. Great Geoff will be there I hope we will see you in the Plume/Club soon.

  • Thank you for every opportunity you gave me while working for you Graham! I had the most amazing times in the Plume with everyone and hopefully many more! Good luck with everything

  • Good luck Graham, you and your mum have BEEN the Plume since I first came to Portscatho in 1977 , so it will feel quite different going in to the pub and not having you there to greet me even I am next down. Locals and visitors alike appreciate your years of commitment to what is the social hub of the village. I hope to see you again soon, all the best. Phil ps thanks for renting Gannet Cottage to me in 1978, I loved my time there.

  • Hi Graham. Had some good times in the Plume one of mine and Hilary’s favourite pubs. Good luck for the future Alan Dennis

  • Good luck to you Graham on your new path too and we thank you so much, and your mother for all the years of support and amazing service you have given to locals and visitors alike !

    Mary Alice & Chris
