Roseland Festival 2018

Another year has zoomed by and it’s March, time for this year’s Roseland Festival to be launched. The committee have been really busy and the programme for 2018 is complete. Brochures are now in every outlet we can think of. The website is worth keeping an eye on too – www.roselandfestival.co.uk.

This year we have introduced a ‘Friends of the Festival’ sponsorship. Many have already joined and for an annual subscription of just £10 you will receive newsletters etc. but even better there is a 10{c8c3b3d140ed11cb7662417ff7b2dc686ffa9c2daf0848ac14f76e68f36d0c20} discount on tickets for 10 days prior to the Box Office going public. For information about becoming a Friend please contact Sue Fallick  on 01872 580050 or email  roselandfestivalfriends@gmail.com

This year Roseland Community Transport and the Roseland Festival are linking up. Our local community bus will be running two trips to the Festival. The first one is to ‘Up the Creek’, a boat trip, on Friday 27th April and the second to ‘WW1, Trounce Guy and Friends’ at Veryan Church on Thursday 3rd May. The mini bus will be picking up from village centres and combined bus and event tickets can be booked at the Roseland Visitor Centre in St.Mawes, 01326 270440

As in past years, events will stretch across the Roseland peninsula from St. Anthony Head to Tregony and from Tolverne  to Pendower. Venues, as ever, range from hotels to halls, and churches  to pubs.

We have a variety of music from the classics with Emma Abbate and Ashley Riches performing ‘A Musical Zoo’, to the foot tapping Kit Hill Billies, and the acclaimed Canoryan  Lowen Choir singing at St. Just Church in the middle weekend. Then there’s  talks ranging from history to nature and minerals. The ever popular Playrite youngsters will be singing songs from ‘An American Songbook’ and if you want a hands-on experience there’s  a pottery workshop.

We look forward to seeing you during the two weeks of the Festival from 21st April to 5th May.  A calendar of dates and be found here and you can find all the details of individaul events in the Roseland Online calendar.
