The Roseland Festival programme is nearly completed. We are delighted to say that we have a great range of events for the 2019 Festival and think it will be every bit as good as last year’s. All events are held on the Roseland, in community halls, local pubs or out and about in the wonderful local scenery, and so really easy to get to. There are guided walks, a wide variety of talks from local enthusiasts, authors and historians, screenings of films with a Cornish setting, and a photography contest. There are drama workshops and storytelling for young people, as well as a tour of our historic churches followed by afternoon tea. Additionally, there is plenty of music – local choirs, jazz and folk – and popular performers, the Kit Hillbillies, are rounding off the eleven days with an evening at the Memorial Hall in St Mawes.
The Festival Committee is pleased to invite you to our Launch Event to be held on Friday 15 March 2019 at the Millennium Rooms in St Mawes from 6.00 pm. The Event is for Friends and Sponsors only – BUT you can become a Friend at the door. There will be drinks and nibbles, and the full programme for the 2019 Festival will be available.
Representatives from the Cornish Riviera Box Office – who generously handle ticket sales for the Festival – will be at the Event to allow you to buy tickets in advance of their going on sale to the public the following week. Friends and Sponsors may buy tickets at a 10% “early bird” discount, between the 15 and 29 March.
We will also be asking for volunteers to act as stewards for some of the Festival events. Volunteer Stewards can attend the event free of charge – so it’s a great way to get involved with your local Festival and enjoy yourself.
Becoming a Friend of the Festival costs £10, and we are delighted if you feel you can make an additional donation as a private sponsor. These donations will be recognised in the Festival Programme. It’s easy to become a Friend – just see our website (www.roselandfestival.co.uk and click Join Us) or email email@example.com. If you would like further information, please contact the Friends Co-ordinator on 01872 501 061.
