Roseland Parc Residents Raise Funds for Air Ambulance

Roseland Parc Cornwall Air AmbulanceResidents of Roseland Parc retirement village took a trip to the newly-built headquarters of the Cornwall Air Ambulance service to present them with a cheque for £700.

The cash was raised at the Christmas fair, an annual event at the age-exclusive village in Tregony, near Truro. A range of craft stalls, home-made cakes and a tombola, manned by staff and residents helped to boost the total.

Residents have been long-term supporters of the Cornwall Air Ambulance Trust which has been serving the county for 25 years. They were invited to visit the Trust’s headquarters at Newquay Airport to hand over the cheque and see, first hand, the work that is done.

Roseland Parc resident Elizabeth Sharratt said: “There’s no question that every penny raised for the Air Ambulance counts towards saving precious lives. The helicopter was called out to an emergency three times in the hour we were there, which showed us more than anything the importance of the work these brave men and women do.”
