The Roseland-based business Roundhouse Barn Holidays was the proud recipient of a Silver Award for its self catering holiday cottages at the South West Regional Tourism Awards in Torquay last night.  Their business is now officially recognised as providing some of the best self catering holiday accommodation anywhere west of Bristol.

The award comes on top of the three awards it had previously won at the Cornwall Tourism Awards, including the coveted 2010 Winner of Winners Award.

Owner, Barbara Sadler said after receiving the award “This caps a simply wonderful year for our business.  We’re obviously very pleased but also a little overwhelmed by all these awards.  Three years ago, when we bought Roundhouse Barns, we simply set out to provide our guests with a great holiday experience.  We never expected any recognition or awards – but of course we’re delighted to receive them.”

Co-owner Mark Sadler added “We very much hope that these awards will help us welcome new customers to Roundhouse Barns and thereby grow our business.”  Looking ahead, Mark also commented “If we and all the other Cornish award winners can leverage this publicity, we’ll all play our part in helping Cornwall become a year-round holiday destination with all the economic benefits that this delivers.”

Roundhouse Barn Holidays completed an extensive refurbishment programme of its barns in March 2010.  It now provides 5 star self catering cottages and B&B accommodation to guests all year round.
