The St Mawes Carnival kicks off this Sunday. The aim of Carnival Week is for locals and visitors to have an enjoyable time and at the same time to raise money for local organisations. Last year the event raised £5,000 for local organisations.
There will events all week culminating in Carnival Day on Saturday – the main road in St Mawes will be closed and there will be a number of stallholders selling a great variety of goods as well as a BBQ, bar, children’s sports, and of course the Carnival Parade. All of this will be followed by live music and dancing on the quay until late. Local radio station, The Hub, will be broadcasting live from the Quay from 10.00am onwards.
