The Superfast team met with BT Openreach on Thursday and received an update on Portscatho V6, the scheme that covers the supply of fttp and Superfast broadband from Trewince down to St Anthony.
The collapsed duct issues have now all been resolved. There is an outstanding pole that needs replacing, which is in an awkward location with tricky access. Openreach are asking their sub contractors to prioritise this.
Openreach say the build should be complete by end March.
Then short testing, followed by 2-4 weeks commissioning, so hopefully they will be open for orders perhaps late April or early May.
This is, of course, barring any unforeseen circumstances.
