We All Have Our Skeletons by Robert A Gray

A mystery set in and around Palma. Hugo, a former child actor, and his mother are on holiday when they discover that Marina Mackay, star of his debut film, lives the life of a recluse in a village on the island. Attempting to make contact, Hugo gets caught up in a confusing web of family problems (his own) and the possible kidnap and murder of Marina.

Verdict: A reasonable enough plot, if a bit jumbled towards the end. I was disappointed at the lack of description of the island, which is what had attracted me to the book in the first place; something to read on the beach or when you don’t want anything too taxing. **
