Although no strangers to the Roseland this will be their first visit to Veryan. And with a string of successful tours and sell-out performances behind them tickets are expected to go fast.

In advance of this eagerly awaited gig Roseland Online asked the duo to tell us a little bit more about themselves.

Dave Shepperson chatted to us after one of our performance and invited us to perform in Veryan for one of their Philleigh Folk nights. We are really pleased to be working with the Philleigh Folk team and can’t wait to perform on November 23rd!

True Foxes are an Alt-Country/Americana cousin-duo from Penzance. Amie and Chloe have performed over 700 shows since they first came together in 2018.

In March this year they released their debut album ‘Howl’ and have since performed their original music at headline shows around the UK and have been featured across multiple international, local and BBC radio shows.

Amie’s powerful vocals and soulful songwriting has been compared to the likes of Laura Marling and Brandi Carlile, performing on acoustic guitar. Together with Chloe’s ethereal harmonies and melodic bass lines, the duo’s storytelling sisterly banter takes the audience on an emotional journey.

Over the last couple of years, we have explored and performed in various venues across the Roseland Peninsula including a charity ale festival in Tregony. We have also been lucky enough to perform on St Mawes for a couple of private events, experiencing the exciting crossing on the King Harry Ferry! Caerhays Beach Cafe had also invited us to return for a performance over the summer, however the weather wasn’t on our side, we look forward to playing on the beach again in sunshine next year – fingers crossed! Over the summer we held an event with a lovely restaurant called the Cornish Italian. It was a wonderful atmosphere that evening!
