Professor Phew and His Very Special Cat

Aimed a children aged around 7+, this is the story of Professor Peter Phew – an inventor who invents practical things and things you might think are impossible (and sometimes are).

One of his greatest inventions is a travelling machine. You might think it looks just like a portaloo* and you’d be right. But there the similarity ends.

And what of the very special cat? Mara looks like a normal black cat but she has special powers which mean she doesn’t always look like a normal cat.

As to the plot, the Professor fights crimes, ordinary crimes, but ones which annoy all right minded people: dropping litter, fly tipping, dog owners who don’t clear up after they leave a mess and many other day to day irritations.

The author introduces serious environmental issues in an amusing way, likely to appeal to and, hopefully, influence children. A book about caring for our world and the importance of treating people equally and keeping an open mind.

Some people think the Professor is odd, but then some people think Mara isn’t a normal cat.

You just never know who is watching so you might as well do the right thing.
