07/03/2024We are now opening from 1st November every week, as the Veryan Café/Warm Hub serving coffee from 10.30 then hot lunches from 12.00, which consist of Jacket potatoes and/or homemade soup. Until 1.30. It is all free but donations never go a miss. We will need VOLUNTEERS on a regular basis, can also offer lifts to anyone who has trouble getting to us. Nigel Blomiley, former principal cellist of the BBC Concert Orchestra plays 3 Sonatas by Beethoven and the Variations on a Theme From Mozart’s Magic FluteIn the first of two concerts in which he will perform all five of Beethoven’s ‘Cello sonatas in Cornwall, Nigel Blomiley, former principal cellist of the BBC Concert Orchestra, is joined by Viv McLean to bring us numbers Sonatas 1, 3 and 4. Composed in 1796, 1807 and 1815 respectively they are central to the ‘Cello recital repertoire.
