We also have official beach clean yellow vests or gilets jaunes as the French like to refer to them (no rioting allowed!) |

Portscatho United Church is at the end of the Lugger. Roseland Music Society: A4 Brass Quartet, 19:30 Winner of many coveted awards, A4 Brass Quartet is a leading UK young chamber ensemble. The combination of cornet, tenor horn, baritone and euphonium creates a distinctive sound. The Quartet has developed its repertoire for this unusual instrumentation, commis-sioning new music and composing and arranging music themselves. There will be a morning theory session followed by an afternoon spent on the shore at Porthcurnick. The fun will start in the Memorial Hall on Gerrans Hill at 1000. It starts at Pendennis Castle in Falmouth and finishes at St Mawes Castle on the Roseland Peninsula. This popular event is strictly limited to 450 swimmers and is open to anyone over the age of 14. Portscatho Regatta Sandcastle Competition, 16:00 – 17:00 – We have had to take the unprecedented step of holding the sandcastle competition on Friday, 23rd August! The tide on Saturday is not playing ball, so the sandcastle competition will start at 4 pm on Friday. There will be an added bonus of Jumping Out Jazz Duo, strolling musicians, who will keep competitors and spectators, entertained on the beach. Later that day, from 7-9pm, there will be live music from Weazeldust, outside the Plume of Feathers. |

Portscatho Regatta, 10:30 Swimming races will kick off Saturday’s events at 10.30am, followed by stand up paddleboard races at 11.15am. The BBQ will open at midday and the magic show will entertain the children in the Harbour Club from 12:30. The stalls and sideshows open at 1.30pm, on the Lugger. The Punch and Judy show starts at 2pm, next to The Boathouse. Sailing starts at 2.00pm. Music throughout the day! |

Percuil Regatta, 10:30 – 17:00 – A family friendly village regatta with something for everyone - spectators and sailors alike! In addition to the usual sailing races, this year we have selected some of the children from our schools sailing programme to join in with a coached racing event. As always, there will be lots of homemade food to enjoy in this beautiful location. Thank you to our generous sponsors; The Outdoor Hub (event) and Portscatho Holidays (prizes). All funds raised will go to Roseland Youth Sailing Trust and the RNLI. Please support us and buy loads of raffle tickets!!
