Philleigh Folk - Martyn Babb, 19:30 For our last offering before a Christmas break, we present Martyn Babb. Roger Bryant told us at Bude Festival to “listen to this man, he’s a great entertainer” and boy, was he right!! Martyn is difficult to categorise, a folk singer and musician, certainly, but he is much more than that. He is an MC, a comic, a teller of tales….. - the term entertainer probably best sums him up. We can promise a great start to the festive season…… |

Roseland Music Society: Rosanna Ter-Berg (Flute) Leo Nicholson (Piano), 19:30 Rosanna Ter-Berg’s striking performances have led her to be described as ‘super-charged’ with ‘unstinting virtuosity and personality’. Roseanna and Leo were due to play during February 2014, but sadly the weather decreed otherwise. It has taken some time to rearrange a visit but at last we can enjoy this highly rated pair. A varied and interesting programme with a French flavour has something for everyone.

Come and buy your Christmas presents and also indulge in a cup of tea or cafetière coffee with a slice of scrumptious cake for only £1.50, in friendly, relaxed surroundings. The film depicts the interplay of life above and below stairs at a country house weekend shooting party when events are interrupted by a murder. With an all star cast directed by Robert Altman and screen play by Julian Fellowes, it has won several awards.
