David Harbottle and Freya Jonas have busked around the world and since returning to these shores have built an impressive gig list covering the whole country playing at festivals, folk clubs and pizza parlours (!!) Multi-instrumentalists, (it would be easiest to list what instruments they don’t play) their sets are a mixture of traditional and contemporary with a touch of Buddy Holly and Mumford & Son thrown in for good measure. In short, something for all tastes. |

06/10/2017(3 events) – Play Bowls for Free – Fundraiser for RNLI--Friday 6th October,7.30p.m. ,Tresanton Chapel, St Mawes--Medial Maelstrom .'a tincture of song and laughter from three Cornish doctors bursting with talent – if you haven’t seen them before grab the chance!. Tickets £25 (includes excellent nibbles during interval), available from Fudge&Moore --tickets are already selling fast so don't wait too long. 07/10/2017(2 events) – We have over 20 local stall-holders selling a large range of products including home-made bread, delicious cakes and Cornish pasties, organic meats, locally grown plants, locally grown vegetables in season, home-made preserves, local eggs and hand-crafted items including cards, gifts, jewellery, artwork, photography, crochet and sewing, etc. There will be two new producers as well, one selling seaweed skincare products and the other home-made fudge (which is delicious, I can assure you). Come and have a chat with them and find out more about their products. You can also indulge in a cup of tea or cafetière coffee with a slice of scrumptious cake for only £1.50 in friendly, relaxed surroundings. Meet up with your friends or neighbours and see if there's something that takes your fancy. – Harvest Festival, St Just & St Mawes Parish Supper-come along and enjoy Bangers and Mash and homemade puds, chat with friends and rack your brains over a quiz at the Memorial Hall , St Mawes on Saturday 7th October at 7.00p.m. Everyone very welcome .
