Roseland Charity Kayaker Returns Home

There were celebrations in Portscatho last night for returning ‘International Superstar’ local builder Body Pemberton, who had just finished a marathon 3 day kayak from Falmouth to Brittany, France to raise money to buy a prosthetic leg for his niece who lost her leg because of cancer.

Kayaking 105 miles, Body was spotted by four friends in a boat the whole way and arrived in France on time. There, the local papers dubbed him and ‘International Superstar’ for his Herculean efforts and even BBC reported on the charity event.

At one point, Body was even followed by a pod of dolphins as he travelled, seen in the video below.

Body has so far raised in excess of £12,500 towards the £100,000 needed to pay for a new prosthetic leg which will enable his niece, Josie Bridges to continue her very active lifestyle along with continuing taking part in her chosen sport.
