Veryan Community Café – new opening hours

If you live in Veryan or happen to be passing through on foot or in the car, the good news is the Veryan Community Café is reopening this month.

After a short break the community cafe will be opening its doors every other week for coffee and cake (or a biscuit) from 10.30 to 12.30. Doors open again from 9 Wednesday – then every other week after that. News on weekly winter warm hub dates will be announced later in the year.

The café, at Veryan Parish Hall, serves teas, coffees, cakes and biscuits. In March this year they celebrated their 100th session. Refreshments are provided free of charge or for a small donation.

The driving force behind the project is Deanne Field. She felt what the village was lacking was a community space where people could drop in and have a simple cup of tea or coffee. So, with more than little determination and dedication the doors opened on her first community café on Wednesday 13 September 2017.

The café has a group of regular visitors but everyone is welcome. So, if you are passing through Veryan drop in and say hello.

If you want volunteer or find out more about the project please ring Deanne on 01872 501974 0r 07775 682139 or email her dee@bobanddee.co.uk
