What is REACT? It’s a new Roseland initiative in response to Cornwall Council’s declaration of a climate emergency. Following the Council’s statement, St Just and Gerrans Parish Councils have also followed suit. REACT stands for Roseland Environment Action Community Team.

Do come along every other Wednesday! We are popular with all age groups - from regulars to young mums, walkers, holidaymakers and some local men from the village. Menu includes home-made cakes, biscuits and savouries with GF and vegan options. Cornish coffee, selection of teas fruit & decaf, hot chocolate, fruit juice also fresh fruit all served! Books and magazines sold for a small fee....or there is the option to book swap.

Twenty fingers, four hands, two accomplished pianists from Belgium offering a unique musical show – theatre, laughter, enlightenment, and superb musicality. Music from the shows, music with a classical twist, Belgian jazz, music in the continental tradition. Suitable for the whole family, their programme will include Brahms, Greig and Escobar.

This coming Saturday, 2nd November, will see our many local producers selling their varied offerings. These include Carol’s pasties, local vegetables, organic meat, eggs, locally caught fresh fish, local honey and beeswax candles, a selection of delicious cakes, quiches, pies, samosas, falafels, katchouris, etc, granola, home-made preserves, garden shrubs and plants, beautiful posies of cut flowers, flower seeds, Cornish short stories and children’s books, hand-crafted items including beeswax wraps, cards, gifts, artwork, Christmas decorations etc. Come and see what we have to offer and at the same time indulge in a cup of tea or cafetière coffee with a slice of scrumptious cake for only £1.50, in friendly, relaxed surroundings. Meet up with your friends or neighbours and see if there's something different that takes your fancy.

Saturday, 2nd November. Bonfire & Professional Firework Display at Tregony Sports Field, followed by entertainment. Licensed Bar. Bouncy Castle, Rides, candyfloss, burgers. Admission Adults £4.00, Under 16’s £2.00 & Under 5’s FREE. Family Ticket (2 + 3) £10.00 Gates open at 6.30, Bonfire at 7.00, Fireworks 7.30. Bring your guy to put on the bonfire, and you and the guy get in FREE, plus you get a bag of sweets too. Entertainment in the Clubhouse will follow Fireworks.

Choral Evensong with the Roseland Churches Choir, 18:00

At the service of Choral Evensong, there will be the opportunity to remember and to give thanks for those who we love who have died. Their names will be read out and there will be an opportunity to light a candle in their memory.
