03/08/2019(2 events) St Mawes Town Regatta, 09:00 – 23:45 – Celebrating 180 years of St Mawes Town Regatta! Veryan Market, 10:30 – 12:30 – This coming Saturday, 3rd August, will see our many local producers selling their varied offerings. These include beautiful posies of cut flowers, Gill’s home-made bread, Carol’s pasties, locally-caught fresh fish, organic meat, local honey and beeswax candles, a selection of delicious cakes, quiches, pies, samosas, falafels etc, granola, home-made preserves, garden shrubs and plants and unusual seeds, children’s books, hand-crafted items including beeswax wraps, cards, gifts, artwork, etc. Come and see what we have to offer and at the same time indulge in a cup of tea or cafetière coffee with a slice of scrumptious cake for only £1.50, in friendly, relaxed surroundings. Meet up with your friends or neighbours and see if there's something different that takes your fancy. |

Restoration ongoing incl paths which lead you around the garden to seating areas, borders and small pond from which to enjoy the panoramic sea and rural views. Pop-Up Heritage Centre (4-6 August), 11:00 – 16:00 – Come and get a taster of what is available at the Heritage Centre in Gerrans St Anthony Battery Tour (1100 & 1330), 11:00 Hidden under tons of earth for decades, the battery at St Anthony Head was pretty forgotten. Now it's opened up again you can come and find out about the history of the place, going back through different threats of invasion up to when it was finally decommissioned.
