08/06/2019(2 events) Cornish Family Fun Day, 14:00 – 22:30 – The CHAOS Group and Wild Tipi invite you to a FREE Cornish community Fun Day at CHAOS Farm. With a host of activities and entertainment, including: Plastic Free Roseland Beach Clean, 14:00 – 15:00 – Meet at the slipway at the far end of the beach and litter pick to your hearts content for an hour. We've now got pickers, gloves and collection bags. Mr Faisel Baig of St Mawes chemist has very kindly donated a first aid kit for the all important H&S aspects. We also have official beach clean yellow vests or gilets jaunes as the French like to refer to them (no rioting allowed!) |
09/06/2019(2 events) RNLI Castle 2 Castle Swim, 10:00 The Castle 2 Castle Swim is an iconic one mile open water sea swim across the Carrick Roads. It starts at Pendennis Castle in Falmouth and finishes at St Mawes Castle on the Roseland Peninsula. This popular event is strictly limited to 450 swimmers and is open to anyone over the age of 14. Please note, participants should be intermediate or experienced open water swimmers. St Anthony Battery Tour (1100 & 1330), 11:00 Hidden under tons of earth for decades, the battery at St Anthony Head was pretty forgotten. Now it's opened up again you can come and find out about the history of the place, going back through different threats of invasion up to when it was finally decommissioned. |
