We have our usual selection of local stall-holders at our monthly Market this coming Saturday plus our new producer selling fresh fish and a new supplier of hens’ eggs. Others will be selling a wide range of products including a selection of home-made cakes and meringues, scrumptious home-made bread and Cornish pasties, organic meats, home-made preserves, home-made soaps and seaweed based products, local honey and beeswax, plants and unusual seeds, hand-crafted items including cards, gifts, artwork, etc.  Come and see what we have to offer and at the same time indulge in a cup of tea or cafetière coffee with a slice of scrumptious cake for only £1.50, in friendly, relaxed surroundings. Meet up with your friends or neighbours and see if there's something different that takes your fancy.

Stand Up Paddle board (SUP) races starting at 10:00am. Sports on the beach will begin at 10:30am, and the very competitive and creative sandcastle competition starts at 11:45am.

The BBQ will open at midday, and tea and cakes will be on sale, throughout the afternoon. Live music at 1pm, outside the Plume of Feathers, and the magician will entertain the children at the Harbour Club, also at 1pm. The stalls and sideshows open at 1:30pm, on the Lugger. The Punch and Judy puppet show starts at 2pm, next to The Boathouse. The St Dennis Band return this year, so be sure to join in the Flora Dance at 6:30pm.

A wonderful village style regatta, a great spectator event with lunches and teas available and fabulous raffle prizes. Please come and support our annual regatta. All proceeds go to the Roseland Youth Sailing Trust and the R.N.L.I. First race 1555.

The RNLI are very active round our Cornish coast, particularly in the summer months. Our local station is at Falmouth where the RNLI have served the local community for over 150 years.

An introductory session to walking football for men and women over 55. With the support of the RSPG we have been playing weekly since May but this is another opportunity to have go. Played indoors at a fast walking pace and with limited contact there is less risk of injury and so it is an ideal game both for those wanting to play again and those who haven't played football before. The National Trust are organising a beach clean in coordination with the Marine Conservation Society and Great British Beach clean. Plastic Free Roseland are also involved so if you'd like to join us please come along. The NT will provide gloves litter pickers etc.. The beach is also dog friendly and has the Hidden Hut located behind the beach for refreshments after the hard work. High tide is at about 9am so there'll be lots a beach to clean!

As part of World Cleanup Day, Plastic Free Roseland are organising a beach clean in coordination with the National Trust. The NT will provide us with gloves litter pickers etc. They will also dispose of all the plastic waste we pick up. Carne beach has ample parking in the NT car park.

Cornish Songs and ‘40s Hits
St Ewe Church
You won’t want to miss this concert at St Ewe Church featuring Oll an Gwella and the The Blue Angels. Oll an Gwella, which means “All the best” in Cornish, are a four part harmony group whose aim is to keep people smiling and enjoying the power of song. They will be entertaining everyone with some real Cornish favourites.
In complete contrast The Blue Angels are three fun women who love to sing 1940s style songs. They sing close harmonies with their own arrangements giving them an authentic sound and look.

Tuesday 25th September at 7.30pm in St Ewe Church. Tickets £7 each available from Lobbs Farm Shop at Heligan, The Crown Inn at St Ewe and Pentewan Garage or ring 01726 842159. A comedy starring David Tennant, Rosamund Pike and Billy Connolly.
We will be following the usual relaxed format with choc ices served in the interval and glasses provided for you to bring your own drinks. As a change this year your donations will go to a different local charity each month with September’s being Cornwall Blood Bikes. This is a group of volunteers who provide an ‘out of hours’ delivery service to transport items of a medical nature to locations throughout Cornwall saving the NHS many thousands of pounds.

Established since 2008 this Ensemble comprises Judith Sheridan (voice), Margaret Richards (cello), Daniel King Smith (piano) and William Win-field (reader). Their innovative and unusual themed programmes have proved popular at many UK venues and in France. Our concert showcases the relationships between three of the greatest musicians of the 19th century, Johannes Brahms, Robert and Clara Schumann.
The concert will be preceded by the AGM at 6.45pm

We are holding a sponsored fiddle tune and folk song afternoon to raise money for Cornwall Historic Churches Trust and St Rumon's Church. Refreshments will be available.
The Cornwall Historic Churches Trust donates money to churches to enable them to carry out repairs or buy items for church purposes. Many of the churches on the Roseland have been thankful to receive grants from the Trust including ourselves.

Outstanding violinist Emmanuel Bach studied at the Royal College of Music after reading Music at Oxford. He has a broad repertoire performing regularly both as soloist and chamber musician in the UK and abroad. His accompanist is the experienced Tokyo born Kumi Matsuo who has won many awards and played solo and chamber music in the UK, and many other countries.

Olga Stezhko is a much acclaimed pianist. Born in Minsk, Belarus, she is now based in the UK where she completed her studies with distinction at the Royal Academy of Music. Winner of many international awards she performs regularly both in the UK and abroad. She specialises in works of the early 20th century. Her programme includes works by Poulenc, Debussy, Ravel and Scriabin.

Falmouth based musician Will is fast becoming a Cornish icon with his interpretations of well known and less well known songs of the County. With guitar and stomp box he produces an intoxicating sound and in particular bringing his good friend and legend Harry Glasson’s songs to an always appreciative audience.

Meet at the slipway at the far end of the beach and litter pick to your hearts content for an hour. We've now got pickers, gloves and collection bags. Mr Faisel Baig of St Mawes chemist has very kindly donated a first aid kit for the all important H&S aspects. We also have official beach clean yellow vests or gilets jaunes as the French like to refer to them (no rioting allowed!)

Winner of many coveted awards, A4 Brass Quartet is a leading UK young chamber ensemble. The combination of cornet, tenor horn, baritone and euphonium creates a distinctive sound. The Quartet has developed its repertoire for this unusual instrumentation, commis-sioning new music and composing and arranging music themselves. These will embrace a wide range of products including home-made bread, a selection of delicious cakes, quiches, pies, Cornish pasties, locally-caught fish, organic meats and eggs, home-made preserves, home-made soaps, local bee products, plants and unusual seeds, hand-crafted items including beeswax wraps, cards, gifts, artwork, etc. Come and see what we have to offer and at the same time indulge in a cup of tea or cafetière coffee with a slice of scrumptious cake for only £1.50, in friendly, relaxed surroundings. Meet up with your friends or neighbours and see if there's something different that takes your fancy.
