Tresillian Singers celebrated their 40th Anniversay in 2018.
Over the years they have raised thousands of pounds for local charities.
The choir has won various awards at local music festivals and last year won the Howard Griffin Memorial Shield at the County Music Festival in Truro.

Come and learn about Celtic saints and early Christianity in Cornwall, the impact of the Normans, medieval church building (which in Cornwall went on well into the Reformation period), Post-Reformation changes, the long 18th century and the influence of the Victorians on church fabric, worship, life and landscape. Although the church buildings of St Just in Roseland, Gerrans and St Anthony in Roseland will be our starting point, a variety of sources will be referred to from an early tenth-century parchment sheet recycled as a book cover in the Vatican library to early nineteenth century Rural Deans reports.

Set on the wilds of Bodmin Moor and the storm tossed Cornish Coast, this original film of Du Maurier’s “Jamaica Inn” starring Charles Laughton, directed by Alfred Hitchcock is a classic.
“Jamaica Inn” was the first of the three stories by Daphne du Maurier which Alfred Hitchcock made into films.
Starring Charles Laughton, Robert Newton and Maureen O’Hara, the film tells the story of a gang of smugglers led by Joss Merlyn, landlord of Jamaica Inn.
Using false lights, they lure ships onto the rocks, murder the unfortunate crews and make off with the cargo.
Mary Yellan, recently orphaned, arrives to stay with her aunt and uncle at Jamaica Inn and uncovers its dark secrets.

David Hall, founder of Wild Roseland, will lead a circular walk around Messack.
Starting at the layby opposite the sign to Messack Farm, the walk begins on footpaths across farmland into Messack Woods, which at this time of
year, is full of bluebells and bird song.
The walk takes us past the mighty Messack Oak alongside the Carrick Roads to Messack Point then back through fields above the wood.
