Roseland Surgeries – Advice for Visitors

Anyone holidaying in the UK (who is a UK resident) is that if they become poorly whilst on holiday, their first port of call must be their own surgery who can often help them far more quickly than we can.  They can also access pharmacies for advice (some can also offer short courses of treatment without prescription) and of course 111.  If they struggle to get through on the telephone to their own surgery, they should check out their own surgery website, where there will be a link to an online consultation form.  This takes literally 5 minutes to complete and will be submitted automatically to their GP who will come back to them with advice as to what to do next.  That could be simple advice, a prescription which can be sent electronically to a local pharmacy,  a phone call with a healthcare professional or guidance as to what to do next.

A reminder that anyone with chest pain MUST call 999 – please do not attend or call the GP surgery for something this urgent.
