They are now on Speyside and tell me that not a drop of malt has passed their lips…..yet!
From Aviemore to Dingwall. the most picturesque ride on Speyside way out of Aviemore to the Boat of Garten and on to Carrbridge and the 300 year old packhorse bridge (see photo) built to cross river when in full flow.
Long steady climb to the Slochd summit (pronounced Slochd), then on to Inverness via the Clava Cairns (old time burial chambers) and the Culloden battlefield (they don’t like it up ’em)! Leaving Inverness via the Kessock Bridge and on to Dingwall.
Have seen our first red squirrels over the last couple of days. Hopefully a report tomorrow, but we are staying in the Crask Inn, the remotest pub in Britain, so not sure if they have internet!
