30.06.12: Local florist, Susanne Hatwood of The Blue Carrot has been featured in the editorial – on page three – of one of the countries top flower magazines, Wedding Flowers.
Susanne had an email from their editor, Debbie Codd, asking if she could send some pictures over as samples for her editorial.
Susanne has also been featured on American Wedding website, Style Me Pretty this month as well as Botanical Brouhaha, an American florist specialists blog.
Susanne told Roseland Online, “I’m completely overwhelmed. After working years towards my vision of a floral design business with a difference, producing wild and natural looking arrangements inspired by nature and using home-grown materials, I am very grateful for the amount of recognition I am getting at the moment from both the press and my clients. Feedback from articles like this will help my business grow and secure its survival.”
Susanne also decided to enter the Cornish Brides Magazine Awards this summer as she felt it would be a good opportunity to shout about British Grown Wedding Flowers and a more relaxed approach to floristry which is slowly becoming the trend throughout the world.
Susanne added, “Although I don’t think I stand a chance of winning these awards, I think it’s a good opportunity to focus on what my business is all about and I’ve learnt a lot over the last few months. I also think I have the best job in the world and I truly love what I do!”
