Nine out of ten businesses in Cornwall can profit from fibre internet connection, Superfast Cornwall has claimed and will show how at a free event next week.
“Forward with Fibre”, on Thursday 23rd October at the Eden Project, will give businesses of all kinds a clear overview of practical ways to use Cornwall’s world-leading connectivity to get a competitive edge.
The event is delivered by Superfast Cornwall, Superfast Business Cornwall and Unlocking Potential. Delegates can expert guest speakers who will provide insights on technology, marketing, social media and online retail, while Cornish businesses will share their real-life experiences.
To make the day as relevant as possible, attendees will be able to pick from a selection of workshops, on topics as diverse as reaching the top of Google search, managing flexible working and accessing finance for their digital projects.
There will also be an opportunity to ask questions of the expert panel, and network with other local businesses over lunch (which will be provided).
Speaking to Roseland Online Nigel Ashcroft, Superfast Cornwall Programme Director for Cornwall Development Company said: “Cornwall is one of the best-connected places in the world – and local businesses can use that to their advantage. This event will help businesses to be clear what the benefits are and where they can start.
“Most importantly, they’ll be able to talk with real Cornish businesses, hear about real-world experiences, and get practical, common-sense advice to help them win and keep more customers, and reduce their overhead costs.
“Superfast broadband isn’t just for hi-tech firms; it’s for all business. At least nine out of ten businesses in Cornwall can profit, right now, and we want to show them how.”
