Overnight on November 30^th into Tuesday December 1^st there were 3 burglaries in Portscatho, one of these was to the local shop Ralphs.

On the evening of Tuesday 1^st December Tregony Neighbourhood Team along with colleagues from Tregony arrested two people for the offences and recovered and considerable amount of property taken during the burglaries.  Although the investigation is ongoing we can confirm we are not looking for anyone else in connection with these burglaries. A quick response was possible due to people calling as soon as the event happened. This enabled  us to put the appropriate resources in place to secure evidence and start the initial investigation which lead to the arrest of the two individuals.

The Roseland is fortunate that this type of incident is rare.  It is however a prime example of how we should not become complacent especially at this time of year. We would like to remind people to check doors and windows are secure, and if you living close to a property which is only occupied at certain times then to pay passing attention and report anything you consider to be out of the norm so to speak.
